DAY FIVE — DISCERN THE APPLICATION
Even when the revelation is right and the interpretation is right, the application can still be wrong.
This is where we must slow down.
We have asked:
What did God reveal?
Then:
What does it mean?
Now comes:
What does God want us to do with it?
And the answer isn't always:
Tell somebody.
Sometimes God reveals something so that we will pray.
Sometimes so that we will prepare.
Sometimes so that we will encourage.
Sometimes so that we will wait.
Sometimes so that we will change direction.
Sometimes revelation is given simply to draw us deeper into intercession.
Consider this carefully:
God might reveal that someone is struggling.
You might correctly interpret that they need encouragement.
But the application might not be to announce publicly what you believe God has shown you.
The application may simply be:
Go and love them.
Prophetic maturity knows the difference.
BEFORE YOU SPEAK, ASK:
Is this mine to share?
Who is it for?
Is this the right time?
What is God's purpose in revealing it?
Would sharing it build, encourage or strengthen?
Or has God shown me this because He wants me to pray?
Not every revelation needs a microphone.
TODAY
Ask about something you believe God has shown you:
“Lord, what do You want me to do with this?”
Don't assume speaking is the answer.
Listen.
