DAY FIVE — STEP INTO THE WATER
When There Seems to Be No Way
Scripture: Exodus 14:10–31
Israel had finally left Egypt.
Then everything appeared to go wrong.
The sea was in front of them.
Pharaoh’s army was behind them.
There appeared to be nowhere to go.
The people panicked.
But Moses said:
“Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD.”
Then came another word:
“Tell the children of Israel to go forward.”
There is a time to stand.
And there is a time to move.
Faith does not always mean that God shows you the whole road before you begin.
Sometimes the road appears only when you step forward.
Think of Aidan leaving Iona for Northumbria.
He could not see centuries of Christian influence ahead of him.
He simply went.
One act of obedience.
One journey.
One step.
And history changed.
Some of us are waiting for God to open the sea while God is telling us:
Move forward.
Faith is not pretending there is no sea.
Faith is believing that the sea does not have the final word.
TODAY’S ACTION
Name your Red Sea.
What situation currently looks impossible?
Write it down.
Pray over it.
Then ask:
“Lord, what is the next faithful step?”
Not the next ten steps.
Just the next one.
Then take it.
The God who made a road through the sea has not changed.
Amen Amen.
